As some of you are aware, I basically travel the United States for a living. If you need a hotel recommendation in Indianapolis or a lunch spot in San Antonio, I’m your girl. I’m a professional packer; I can live out of a carry-on suitcase for a year, so 5 days for a work trip ain’t no thing. I try to find the diamond in every city I visit, whether it’s a great hike, a killer coffee, or the biggest ball of yarn ever made. And I claim to keep fit with exercise and healthy eating the whole way through it all.
Well — the last few months have been all of those things…except the later. After a personal trip to France with my husband where I ate my weight in cured meats, stinky cheese and wine, I quickly reeled it all back in with Beachbody’s amazing 3-Day Refresh. I had such great results that I think I got a little too confident. That, plus the personal stress I felt from our recent politcial election sent me a bit over the edge. I started slipping on every road trip I took from August until November 2016….wine almost every night, dessert 3 or 4 times a week, and pasta more than necessary.
Exercise, you say? No problem! I get it in, and then some — spinning, 21 Day Fix Extreme, hikes, pilates, and yoga. But I know better. It’s 80% nutrition and 20% exercise. (If you don’t know that yet, let’s talk…..) That’s really not my issue.
So, that’s it. I’m done. The end of 2016 has been a slow down. Actually more like a slog through thick mud, and I feel like I am about to stop completely. It’s time to cleanse it all. Starting December 18, 2016, I will be taking on Beachbody’s Ultimate Reset for the second time. I completely eliminated myself from Social Media in an attempt the cleanse my brain from the nonsense in my daily life as well, so I’m recording my efforts here. For the 1 or 2 people that want to tune in.
Wanna join me? Let me know. This will be the first dry New Year’s I’ve ever planned. So, I will need the support. Happy Thanksgiving!
